Impersonating Film Stars

Impersonating films stars is not as easy as it may seem. First of all, one must at least vaguely look the part and then must incorporate the moves as well. It is quite easy to simply say memorable lines from films but, acting the part is another part completely. For example, it's relatively easy to say “make my day” from the Dirty Harry series. However, can one say it with only the same conviction the Clint Eastwood does? That is exactly what separates the good impersonators from the bad impersonators.

They say that mockery is one of the sources of all admiration and one specific gentleman that devoted his life to this was famous in his own part. Rich Little was very famous simply for impersonating film stars with surprising accuracy. In fact, he had a show on the Las Vegas strip devoted entirely to the art of impersonation as well as improvisation and it was a wide success. He would impersonate many different people from actors to politicians with seemingly greatest of ease.

Many times, it is just the moves or routines that is the only thing that needs to be acted out as with much of the slap stick comedy of days gone by. Everyone is familiar with it and can therefore, appreciate it.

But, what about the poor soul who simply looks uncannily similar to a well know star but, is otherwise normal. They may be the source of some unwanted and mistaken attention from time to time. These are the ones that would make good candidates for the various talent agencies that inhabit most high metropolitan locations. They may very well be able to create another source of income simply by looking like the person. Who knows? Maybe an opportunity to become a Hollywood double will present itself. At the very least, one can do appearances at other various events and such.

Yes, there are opportunities to utilize what one has been blessed with, if if they are the shy type. These can be items as simple as attending a birthday party, or even simply making an appearance at a grand opening of some sort. This will allow one to have the opportunity to select choice opportunities and just do it part-time. Treat it as a novelty and have fun with it. Use it as a chance to meet people, it may take one farther than they originally thought it may.

And, it really is not that hard impersonating film stars. One need only know their quirks and specific moves. Sometimes that is all it will take to give a great as well as rewarding performance. This may even give one the opportunity to be one of their all time favorite silver screen legends.
